Latitude and Longitude

In 4th grade social studies, students in room 15 have been working on using latitude and longitude to find locations on the globe.  We've plotted locations on maps, and even went outside and plotted latitude and longitude lines on the world map painted on the center courtyard.



Vocabulary words we're using in this unit include:

• hemisphere
• equator
• prime meridian
• degrees
• latitude
• longitude
